Yet the climate movement can’t be seen in many communities across the UK – and so the government isn’t feeling the heat.

It won’t happen overnight, but we need to rebuild our momentum and our power: step by step, action by action in towns and cities up and down the country.

• Cover key costs for local organisers – we’ll pass on funds directly to people doing the work in their communities for things like venue booking and materials
• Coordinate two initial moments for us to take action together – we’re building toward the Global Week of Action in September and a Global Day of Action in November
• Develop useful online tools to connect our communities – we’re developing the Mobilise Everywhere map to promote events up and down the country
