COP30 in Belém, Brazil is set to be one of the most consequential climate summits in recent years. With key commitments up for renegotiation and the summit taking place in the heart of the Amazon – a key symbol in the fight against climate breakdown – it’ll be a crucial test for the power of our movements.

While we know the rapid, equitable and just action we need to tackle the climate crisis won’t solely come from these UN climate summits, we must organise, mobilise and build power to secure climate action – within and beyond COP30.

With record heat in our atmosphere and oceans driving climate disasters across the globe, billionaire wealth soaring ever higher and billions left behind in poverty, there is no time left to lose. If we’re to have any hope of a liveable planet, we must end our reliance on fossil fuels – fast, fair and forever – and transform our economic systems to work for people and planet.

Join us on the Road to Belém

The Climate Justice Coalition is bringing together organisations and groups on the Road to Belém to build power and raise pressure over the UK government. We’ll coordinate and organise campaigns, actions and events throughout the year – mark your diaries for key moments of convergence on 28 June, 20 September and 15 November.
