Responding to Far Right Violence & Supporting Migrant Justice
Our movements will only stop the rise of the right together. Building solidarity and support with migrant communities – practically and locally – is central to our fight for intersectional justice.
We’ve developed a collection of resources and guidance for climate groups, networks and activists of all kinds to support migrant communities and strengthen migrant justice amidst the rise of far right violence across the country.
Resource guide for climate and activist groups
Our guide includes practical steps that groups have taken in solidarity with migrant communities; resources for communicating about the issues and challenging misinformation; and community safety resources – for protest and for groups at risk.
Together we will stand up to far right violence and win the fight for climate and migrant justice.

Context
While migrant communities face unprecedented attacks and migrant organisations are threatened, the far right continues to mobilise on our streets, specifically targeting hotel accommodation and abusing and assaulting people in our communities. This is supported by popularist narratives and policy deepening the hostile environment, attacking climate action and activists, and scapegoating migrants for the inequality and crises’ that make the rich richer.
Our movements will only stop the rise of the right together. Building solidarity and support with migrant communities – practically and locally – is central to our fight for intersectional justice. In order to build power, we need a movement of mutual support and trust that articulates a kinder, more compassionate vision of the world that we want to win. If we allow the radical right to exploit the current set of crises’ by polarising people against migrants, we will spend the next decades trying to claw back the gains we have made on climate action, on racial justice and migrant rights, on LGBTQ+ rights, and across all of the intersections that make climate about justice.
