With world leaders gathered in Baku for COP29 in November 2024, our movement united to demand the government ends our reliance on fossil fuels, pays up for climate finance – and ends its complicity in Israel’s escalating genocidal violence.
Thousands took to the streets in more than 25 actions across Great Britain – and in hundreds more across the world – on the Global Day of Action to demand climate justice.
#InsureOurFuture: action at AXA UK
Hundreds of climate justice activists joined our movement’s biggest action in solidarity with Palestine this year outside AXA headquarters in London.
On Thursday 29 February, more than a dozen climate justice groups came together to highlight AXA’s insurance of fossil fuel projects and investments in banks and companies that are financing or complicit in enabling Israeli illegal settlements and genocide in Palestine.
Solidarity with the Global Student Movement
We stand in full solidarity with students across the globe protesting to demand universities divest from institutions profiting from or engaging in Israel’s acts of occupation and genocide in Palestine. The fight for peace and liberation is fundamental to climate justice and overcoming the climate emergency.
Global Day of Action during COP28
With world leaders gathered in the UAE for the UN’s climate negotiations at COP28 December, we mobilised across Britain, Ireland and the globe to demand climate justice — and an immediate ceasefire.
From Dublin to Dubai, the climate movement united across continents in solidarity with Palestine.
