Despite the rain and wind, on Saturday the 6th November over 4,000 of us took to the streets of Sheffield in solidarity with the 100,000 who marched in Glasgow on the same day for Global Justice at COP26. We were part of over 300 demonstrations taking place nationally and across the world, bringing together movements to build power for system change - from indigenous struggles to trade unions, from racial justice to youth strikers. Our message to Governments at the COP is clear - we demand they move from climate inaction to climate justice. We will not tolerate soundbites, greenwashing, or more long term targets anymore. We got to this crisis point because our political and economic system is built on inequality and injustice. We are looking at crossing the multiple tipping points of catastrophic climate change. We demand an immediate just transformation of our global economies into one that protects our planet and people, instead of protecting the profits of a few. See our Facebook page @SCCUGCOP26Coalition
