A modest but lively rally was held outside the Liberal Party HQ in Melbourne, one of the first out of lockdown, organised by Workers for Climate Action Melbourne. Protesters spoke out against the Aus Govt's rotten plan for a "gas-fired recovery" and the AUKUS deal's nuclear subs, and rejected the mainstream propaganda that said jobs and climate action are counterposed to each other. Union and environment activists came together to demand 100% public renewables, climate jobs for all, land rights for Indigenous people and jobs on Country. The work of building solidarity and alliances between union, environment and Indigenous groups continues!
