Our event was organised by Zero Carbon Llanidloes. We had an indoor event with stalls, news on our meadows project and the opportunity to vote on some of the new ideas we have for taking Llanidloes to Zero Carbon and to submit your own ideas. People could make their own placard for "The Big Picture" of attendees which was taken at 12 midday. Our fantastic window display was made by pupils at the local secondary school and the Church of Wales youth group - it linked 2 circular representations of the world to information on worldwide, climate change flashpoints. We also had trade Union support from UNITE who were promoting a just transition and uplifting music from the Klezmonauts. We had speeches including a welcome from the Mayor, Janet Crisp and an open mic for anyone to give their view/feelings on climate emergency. After the last 2 years, it was a fantastic opportunity to talk to people again and to meet new people passionate for change. We are grateful to all those who attended.
