Surge Presents: “Cat Sith”, “Hey Idiots, Text Me Your Climate Solutions”, and “It’s a Sign”

“Cat Sith” Ludic Acid : Cat Sith is street theatre with high paced acrobatics, dialogue and physical theatricality combining to relay stories of wild cats and their dwindling numbers in Scotland. “Hey Idiots, Text Me Your Climate Change Solutions” Adrenalism: A new interactive, outdoor show about the climate crisis, corporate greenwashing and violence. Two corporate consultants have come down to canvas the public, the ordinary people, for their creative solutions to climate change. This quickly descends into chaos with slapstick violence, innovative costumes, audience interaction and lots of silliness. “It’s a Sign” All Weather Arts: An exploration of how we relate to the people and places we pass. Inspired by the iconic Passing Place Sign and designed to bring into consciousness questions about how we see people, communities, and landscapes; and the impact that our perceptions have on them. This work beautifully captures the concept that it is impossible to be on your own journey without having an impact on the journey of others – unescapable interconnectedness.
