Legal strategies for ecological justice and the rights of nature: ILP Mar Menor

No human community can preserve its life and identity if it doesn’t respect its natural environment. However, in recent decades the political and economic elites in the Region have allowed the Mar Menor´s degradation. For this reason, it has had to be the citizens who mobilize to defend the rights of the Mar Menor through a Popular Legislative Initiative that recognizes the legal personality of the Mar Menor Lagoon and its basin.
