Ecological transition and debates in the labour movement
Last June, an International Trade Union Forum on Ecological and Social Transitions gathered, during 6 days, more than 140 organizations from about 60 countries. Over 16 workshops, bringing together trade unionists from different sectors – from industry to healthcare, from transport to public services – tackle many issues and debates that cross the labour movement concerning the ecological transition. In Glasgow, on November 8, we will present the process that preceded the Forum, and in the frame of the ongoing discussions for the COP26, deepen the debates started during the Forum. This hybrid session will be a further brick in the understanding of the complex relation between the ecological transition and the labour movement.
