Degrowth: bringing together climate justice, just transition, decoloniality, and feminism

Can countries slash emissions fast enough to stay within 1.5 C while growing the economic activities that cause them? Everything goes to suggest that at least the rich countries of the Global North can’t, needn’t, and shouldn’t grow, but instead “de-grow”. This interactive workshop explores how such “degrowth” would benefit the struggles for climate justice, just transition, decoloniality, and feminism.
